Our June PAC Kayak Float was a succesfull experiement. Lets do it again. Here is the plan:
September 19th, 4pm.
We will meet at Trapper John's in Grove City. From there, we will, drive together down to the END of the float and leave our cars on the campground. Trapper's staff will shuttle us back to the "put-in" (start) and we will enjoy the scenic river and water fun.
Once we get back to the campground we will set up a nice, quiet bonefire and roast sausages etc. The weather should be much nicer (not as hot!) than last time. We will stay there as long as we want, if you want to stay overnight on the campground you can for $5 extra (payable on site).
PAC will have sausages, buns and water for everyone, if you want something else, bring it with you. Also PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN sticks for sausages!
Please register below via PayPal, just like in June. This is a simple shopping cart. Select "Adult", click Add To Cart, you will be forwarder to PayPal website. There you can adjust the quantity and click Continue Shopping to go back to PAC website so you can add children etc the same way.
Please register NOW! We need 20 confirmed participants by September 15, otherwise we will cancel the event and refund money to everyone. NOT REFUNDS after September 15, once the event is confirmed.
Thank you to everyone who made it to our annual PAC Campout! It was truly spectacular this year with a record number of attendees!
Big thanks to our wonderful organizers and campout directors Marzena and Marek Myszkowscy, without whom we could not pull this weekend off!
There were volleyball tournaments, soccer, badminton, kids enjoyed themselves outdoors with countless activities (torn away from their favorite gaming systems - yes, quite shocking!). Some brought bikes and football, and others hiked the trails. While still others relished in various water sports and activities. Even the canines ran rampant and made new friends. Our special treat of the weekend was the Polish Army split pea soup cooked right over the fire in a big kettle obtained especially for the event. It's probably safe to say the kettle will become a part of the PAC Annual Campout tradtion for years to come. The soup was delicious and suprisingly there was only a tiny bit left by the evening. Seconds were a must for most! At the end of the day, we enjoyed the wonderful potluck dinner or "wspólny stół" with tables full of food! Thank you all for sharing a dish and your company with us!
We ended the night with singing and dancing by the bonfire, which at times got quite large. Kids roasted sausages and hot dogs, as well as made s'mores with marshmallows and yummy chocolate.
This just shows that when we come together and everyone does a little bit, we can achieve many great things!
Thank you once again and see you all next year!
We need someone to volunteer as a director / teacher for the Pacanow children school starting in September. If you can spare about 2 hours on Saturdays to teach Polish and play with the kids, please contact us immediately. Yes, it is a commitment but a very rewarding one and you will make a difference in the lives of the youngest.
